NAOSS Senate President Dismiss Illegal NAOSS Election, Calls for Unity, Says NAOSS Election Holds May 31st

Stakeholders, Ondo State students, and Senators,

I, Dist. Sen. Ayomide Rufus, Senate President of the National Association of Ondo State Students (NAOSS), address you today to clarify a pressing matter regarding the association's electoral process. We have been made aware of attempts to conduct an illegal election, which we vehemently dismiss.

Official Election Date
The official date for the NAOSS election is May 31, and we urge all stakeholders to adhere to this schedule. Any attempts to conduct elections outside of this framework will be considered illegitimate and undermine the unity and progress of our association.

Call for Unity
In light of these challenges, we call upon all stakeholders, Ondo State students, and senators to stand firm with us in unity. External forces and divisive tactics will not deter us from upholding the principles of transparency, accountability, and due process that NAOSS embodies.

We have faced similar challenges in the past, including alleged interference from certain individuals, and have consistently reaffirmed our commitment to constitutional principles. Our association remains a symbol of exemplary student leadership and unwavering commitment to the advancement of our members ¹ ².

Commitment to Transparency and Accountability
NAOSS is built on the foundations of transparency and accountability. We assure our members and the public that we will continue to uphold the highest standards of integrity in all our affairs. Our Ethics and Privilege Committee is actively reviewing actions against individuals undermining the union under external influence.

Let us stand together in unity and reject any attempts to destabilize our association. We are committed to ensuring the progress and development of NAOSS, and we invite all stakeholders to join us in this endeavor.

Thank you.

Sincerely,
Dist. Sen. Ayomide Rufus
Senate President, NAOSS
